  • Some countries require your passport to valid for up to 6 months after your arrival date. Check the entry requirements for the country you are planning to visit - https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice

  • Keep your passport safe while travelling.

  • It is sensible to make copies of your travel documents before you leave, store them in a secure and safe place.

  • Do you need any vaccinations for entry to the country you are travelling to?

  • Take enough money with you, make sure you have access to emergency funds.

  • Tell someone if you are going away. Make sure someone knows where you are and they have an emergency contact for you.

  • Do you intend to drive or hire a car abroad – make sure your driving licence is valid and have the necessary documentation.

  • Local law and customs – make sure you are familiar with local practices and how they may differ from home. Be responsible and act responsibly when abroad.
