In Puerto de San Miguel, the cliffs around the sandy beach protect it from the waves. A favourite for families and couples who want peace and quiet.
A town in Ibiza's north. The port of San Miguel is in the village, but the village itself is not right on the coast. The village and the harbour, Puerto de San Miguel, are more than 4 kilometres apart, but they belong together! There are a few shops and hotels in the small town, as well as a nice beach. Families with young children like to go to Puerto de San Miguel because it's not as busy as the most famous beaches, and the water is shallow. San Miguel has both old and new parts. For example, it has one of the oldest churches on the island. You don't want to miss out on this part of Ibiza!
Puerto de San Miguel used to be San Miguel's fishing port, but now it's a popular place for families and couples who want to get away. This is one of Ibiza's most secure beaches. This place is different from the beaches in the south. It has hills, pine trees, and a cave.
There are a few souvenir shops, a supermarket, and a few restaurants and bars near this beach. Along the beach are a few hotels and apartment complexes, many of which look like they were built in the 1970s. It looks like time has stopped here, which makes it very charming and makes you feel like you're going back in time. During the summer, you can rent beds and umbrellas.
People know the beach for the hippies who always hang out there. It is known for its beautiful sunsets and for Sundays when hippies drum. One of the most beautiful bays in the northwest of Ibiza is Cala Benirras. It is a 300-meter-long, beautiful beach with water that is as clear as glass.
The beach of Benirrás is reached by a beautiful path that winds down through hills and valleys. It is a pretty beach with some pebbles and rocks on either side that you can climb over. Across the water, you can see an interesting rock formation called Cap Bernat, or "the finger of God," as the locals call it. The bottom of the water is rocky, which is great for snorkelers but makes it hard to walk in. But that's part of the fun! The water is as clear as glass.
This protected bay is a popular place for private yachts and motorboats to anchor. They come here in the late afternoon to watch the sunset, which is a romantic time. In the summer, drummers come to the beach on Sundays to "drum down the sunset," an iconic hippie ritual. This drumming is unique to Ibiza and has been going on for a long time.
But because so many people like the event, the beach is always packed on Sundays. It will be hard to find a place to park, so come early and spend the whole day at the beach, or take the bus. Because it is so popular on Sundays, drumming also happens on most other summer evenings, but it doesn't start until 15 to 20 minutes before sunset. It's not as big as on Sundays, but it's still very nice and not as crowded.
During the summer, there is also a lovely small hippie market that takes place a few times a week. The stands sell clothes, accessories, handmade items, and more.
Cala Benirras is in the province of San Juan, which is northwest of the island of Ibiza. From San Miguel, it only takes 10 minutes to get there. From Ibiza Town, it takes half an hour to get there, and from San Antonio, it takes about 35 minutes. You can park in the small lot near the beach.
A beautiful apartment complex with three stars for families with young children. In 2016, the whole building was redone. The hotel has beautiful rooms that are white and blue. You can select an all-inclusive plan to ensure that you have everything you need. But there are also a lot of good places to eat and drink in and around San Miguel. Balansat Resort is right on the beach at Puerto de San Miguel Beach, and it also has a number of swimming pools that are great for kids. I am interested in this complex of apartments.
Do you already know about Ca Na Xica, a beautiful hotel in the north of Ibiza? Ca Na Xica is a hotel and spa where you can have a great time. It was built on an estate, and the house is now part of the hotel. Do you want to get away from all the other people? Then this is where you should go!
At the spa, they offer a wide range of treatments, massages, and other ways to feel good. You can choose from a variety of rooms, including normal double rooms, a fancier version of these rooms, and private houses. The sleek architecture of this estate is a nice contrast to the beautiful gardens that have been put in place.

It looks like a hidden spot. This is one of the most beautiful places in Ibiza, but it is hard to get to. From Puerto de San Miguel, take the path on the left side of the cliff to get
here. A place with a beautiful beach, blue water, and green pine trees. And the Utopia Chiringuito, of course! A mix of white canvases that have been stretched and a wooden deck. There are also sofas where you can stretch out and enjoy the sun. Everyone says that sardines are the best thing to order at this restaurant, which is known for its fresh fish. On the beach, there are a few lounge chairs and umbrellas. You will remember this day at the beach.
People don't usually think of San Miguel as Ibiza's shopping capital. Don't worry! This village has one of the coolest clothing stores. And let's be honest, who doesn't love those beautiful leather bags, bohemian clothes, and all that nice jewellery? Buy them here. This store has almost all of the most stylish clothes on the island. Since 1975, Dario and Valeria have been living with Dario Bomé. Every winter, they go to India to find things. They buy all sorts of clothes, accessories, and fabrics, and in their store, they make unique leather bags themselves. It's in the hills of San Miguel, so if you're in the area, you should check it out. You won't see it on anyone else's person very often if you get something here. Many fashion fans from all over the world think of Dario Bomé as their hero.
Tip: What does Dario do best? Straps with antique silver buckles.

Every week, there is an artisan market in San Miguel's town square. Every Thursday from May to October, there is a night market with lots of nice stalls. There are stands with things that are made by hand in Ibiza. From 6:15 to 7:00 p.m., there is an "Ibicenca dance" in front of the church of San Miguel. Very old-fashioned and fun to watch or dance to.
This bar is one of the most unique in the north of Ibiza. In the middle of San Miguel, there is a quiet area with a church in the middle. The bar Estanco Can Xicu is on the same street as this church.
This bar used to be a post office. The uncle of the current owner opened it as a post office. Many letters came from America from parents who were worried about their children who had moved there (the hippies). Since the telephone and internet came along, the current owner of the bar has been able to keep it going without the post office. There are mostly retired people, farmers, and the occasional person who lives in the city. People from other countries sometimes come to San Miguel to see the church and then stop by this pretty blue bar. You have to go there to get a feel for how people live there.
Also, check out the small museum behind the bar. It has a lot of information about the bar and its history.

A cave that is older than 100,000 years. Enjoy the beautiful stalagmites and stalactites (drip stones), a light show, and, as if that wasn't enough, a beautiful view. This is one of Ibiza's caves. Are you curious yet?
One of the oldest caves in Ibiza is Cova de Can Marca. They think that the cave has been there for more than 100,000 years. Because of this, the cave has beautiful stalagmites, which are standing dripstones, and stalactites, which are hanging dripstones. The waterfalls and water beds have also turned to stone, making the whole scene beautiful.
Jean-Pierre van der Abeelle, a Belgian, found the cave Cova de Can Marca around 1970. He wanted people to be able to visit the cave. Before this Belgian man found the cave, it had been used for a lot of different things. Around 1950, smugglers used this cave to hide their illegal goods. After all, it was a great place to hide. Even today, you can still see the red and black marks they made to show a different way out of the cave in case they got stuck.

Are you interested in going to this cave? The entrance is about 12/14 meters above sea level, and the temperature inside the cave is about 20 degrees. During your visit to the cave, a guide will show you around. This will take about 40 minutes and can be done in different languages.
By Car
At the cave, you can park for free. If you want to go by car, you should know that the road to it goes through mountains. This means that the road has many turns, can be narrow, and doesn't always have fences on the sides. So, listen up!
By Bus
The bus line that goes to "Lucas Costa Co." can take you to the cave. This bus stops about 100 meters from the cave from May to October.
The Mini Train
You can also take a small train. This goes by the village of Sant Miguel, where you can see one of Ibiza's oldest churches, which was built in the 13th century. You will also go to Sant Lloren, Sant Joan, and San Vicente to see the beautiful white churches there. The train also goes by the beaches of Cala Sant Vicent, the port of San Miguel, and the cave Can Marca. From Portinatx, Port de Sant Miguel, and Cala San Vicente, the train leaves.
Tips
● Going to the cave with kids is also a lot of fun!
● Cova de Can Marca is hard for disabled people to get to, which is a shame. We also don't think that people with strollers should go to the cave.
● If you stand at the entrance, you can see a beautiful view of the bay and the Torre d'es Molar tower, which was built in 1750. You can also go here. From the tower, you can see the Ibiza mainland and the Cova de Can Marca cave.
● You can also see the island of Murada, where an ancient kind of lizard that is almost extinct lives.
● Remember that the ground is rocky, so you should wear shoes that are easy to walk in.
This lovely restaurant is in a hidden bay of San Miguel called Playa de Benirras. People want to get married at this restaurant because it has such a romantic atmosphere. The view is stunning, with views of the sea and the rock Cap Bernat.
The restaurant's interior is all white and made from things that were already on the island. Elements have a juice bar and serve food from the Mediterranean. Three different chefs make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here, you can hang out all day and not have to worry about anything.
At Elements, you can do more than eat. During the high season, for example, there is a DJ all day and yoga classes. There is also a place to get a massage and a shop with all kinds of clothes, accessories, and bikinis from Ibicenco.

Tip: If you're coming by car, make a reservation or get there on time. There aren't many parking spots, and only tables that have been reserved can use them.
a "finca," which is a large Spanish farm that is 600 years old and has been turned into a beautiful restaurant. This is the rural part of Ibiza, where the atmosphere is very real. There are tables for eating under the fig tree in the garden. The different levels of the terrace and the rest of the garden make it very comfortable. White with brown, lavender, and a lot of green trees and bushes. With the help of their friend Mario, they make the best pasta and crepes for vegetarians. They also have tasty dishes with meat and fish.
