WHY VISIT ST PAULS BAY

Starting life as a small traditional fishing village, St Pauls Bay has grown into a flourishing resort. Remnants of its past can still be seen today but now it is a modern resort brimming with accommodation options for visiting tourists.

St Pauls Bay is a calm resort located near its livelier neighbours of Bugibba and Qawra. It is a beautiful place offering a mix of a tranquil location with the vibrant town centres and entertainment of nearby resorts just a 5-minute walk away.

There is a small stretch of sand here but most of the coastline is rock, there is plenty of flat rock areas to sunbathe especially near Wignacourt Tower, the first in a series of towers built by the Knights of St John back in 1609 and is popular for sea swimming, perfect for snorkelling with the sea being crystal clear and teaming with sea life. St Pauls Island is a hot spot for divers and there are a number of Diving Centres located here.

St Pauls Bay is named after the biblical tale of St Pauls shipwreck, it is said that his ship ran aground on St Pauls Island whilst on way to Rome during a storm and this set-in motion the Christian traditions in Malta.

St Pauls Bay Malta Holidays are ideal for those looking for a relaxed resort with all the amenities within walking distance.
