One of the most well-known and popular destinations for the LGBT community is Mykonos in Greece. 

The whole resort is gay friendly but the pride flag arguably flies highest at Elia Beach, the main gay beach in Mykonos, you will also find a nude beach here passed the rocks. Xlsior festival is held on Elia Beach and when the festival is on everything steps up another notch.

Mykonos is a beautiful resort with whitewashed buildings, superb scenery, full of bars, restaurants and a number of great beaches. 

There are a number of great places to visit in the Balearic Islands but Ibiza stands out above most with its friendly and vibrant atmosphere.

Large clubs, beach parties and bars aplenty, a mix of gay and straight with one thing in common, a great time. Figueretas is a popular area in Ibiza to stay or visit, a trendy town close to the Capital Ibiza Town. 

Playa Es Cavellet is a great beach to visit with Chiringay, an almost exclusive gay restaurant, serving drinks and food on the beach surrounded by sun-seekers. 

Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands could be described as the hub of gay tourism in Europe, its reputation as a fantastic gay holiday destination is built on year-round sunshine, clubs and bars, stunning beaches a history of acceptance. Many people escaped to Gran Canaria from the oppressive dictatorship in Spain and found sanctuary on the Island. 

Maspalomas is possibly the most well known gay resort in Gran Canaria, and the beach in Maspalomas is one of the most popular with LGBTQ+ visitors; clothing-optional, you will find hundreds of sunbathers during the summer months. Bars, clubs and hotels can be found in the Maspalomas area around Yumbo Centrum, in fact in most resorts in Gran Canaria, but Yumbo Centrum is the heart of Gran Canaria’s gay culture and community.
