This mountainous peninsula has been labelled a nature reserve, with its coastline of sandy beaches. It is an extremely important ecological region and is recognised as a site of scientific interest. The local beaches are popular with naturists; however, they stretch so far, that even in the peak season you can always find a spot to enjoy the beach as if it were your own.

Not far from the Morro Jable harbour is the Morro Jable lighthouse, which is one of the few examples of ancient architectural buildings in Fuerteventura.
