If you are a tourist you do NOT need a VISA for short stays to EU countries, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland of Leichtenstein. You can stay for up to 90 days in any 180 day period.
Romania, Cyprus, Croatia & Bulgaria have a different set of rules and have their own 90 day limits. Time spent in other countries does not affect the 90 day in these four countries.

When travelling, please ensure your passport;
1. Is less than 10 years old on the day of arrival
2. Has a minimum of 6 months left on the day of arrival
3. Has a minimum of 3 months after your date of return
For some Schengen countries, your passport may need to be less than 10 years old during your whole visit.

You may be asked to show;
1. Proof of onward journey or a valid return ticket
2. Proof you have enough money to cover your stay
UK passport hodlers will no longer be able to make use of EU fast track lanes and no longer be permitted to use lanes designated for EU nationals.
Please ensure your arrive in plenty of time to allow for some queues or delays with documentation checks.
Firstly, we must state that the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is not a form of or replacement for travel insurance. Please ensure you have a valid travel insurance policy in place.
If you have a European Health Insurance Card this will be accepted up to its expiry date.
If your EHIC has expired or after your EHIC expires you can apply for a UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC). For more information on GHIC and how to apply visit the government website here: https://www.gov.uk/global-health-insurance-card
To drive your own car in the EU you must have valid insurance and obtain a physical green Card from your insurance provider. Your insurance company may charge you a small fee for the Green Card and we recommend you apply a minimum of one month in advance to ensure receipt prior to travel. You must carry the green card with you at all times. You must have a GB sticker on your car.
You can hire a car providing you have a valid mainland UK photocard driving license.
You do not need an IDP to drive in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein if you have a photocard driving licence issued in the UK.
