WHY VISIT PUNTA PRIMA
Punta Prima located in the south east corner of Menorca is one of the oldest holiday towns on the island. The resort with a relaxed atmosphere remains as popular as ever, the town is a small settlement with no high-rise buildings which has retained a lot of its traditional charm.
Punta Prima’s beach is particularly great and is a firm favourite with locals, couples, and families. The pristine sweep of expansive white sand and warm shallow waters are a hit with the children, and there is a free toddlers play area with slides, swings and climbing frames next to the beach. You will find bar’s and restaurants with a relaxed atmosphere situated within easy reach of the beach.
Punta Prima is surrounded by unspoilt countryside the town is on the Cami de Cavalls or Path of Horses – a designated walking route across the island of Menorca so if coastal walks are your thing, then you will not be disappointed, there are 20 routes to choose from. There are lots of little beaches on route to take a swim and cool off.
Should you find yourself in need of a break from the beach, Menorca’s capital Mahon is just a 20-minute bus ride away where you could take in the culture and historical sites of Menorca or enjoy some local cuisine in one of the electric collection of cafes, bars and restaurants that line the whole length of the harbour side quayside Moil de Llevant.
