Es Cana situated on the east coast of Ibiza is one of the original resorts that originated in the 1960’s during the hippy era. Hippies settled in Es Cana and started making trinkets and gifts to sell at markets hence the tradition of Hippy markets in Ibiza began. Every Wednesday the original and largest Hippy Market of Punta Arabi takes place in the original location on the outskirts of Es Cana. The market is packed with stalls selling items from all over the world, many handcrafted, the street food and vibrant atmosphere make this the most famous attraction in Es Cana. Es Cana is a picturesque laid-back resort and has three stunning beaches within walking distance, Playa de Es Cana which has a crescent- shaped golden sandy beach in the centre of the resort there is a beautiful little harbour offering stunning views and an impressive range of bars.
